The most significant predictor of successful therapy is the level of connection between you and your therapist. This website can give you only some information about my background. Lets talk to find out how well we fit. Text, call or email me. I’m happy to answer your questions and find out what will work best for you.
Frequency of sessions Typically, psychotherapy involves weekly, 50-minute sessions. After the first month or so, therapeutic reasons may dictate more or less frequent appointments. But, initially, and for the most part, I see people in 50 minute sessions on a weekly basis.
Fees My fee for a 50-minute session is $175. EMDR therapy is often done in 80-minute sessions. The fee for an 80-minute EMDR therapy session is $260. It is possible to do EMDR therapy in 50-minute sessions, and the fee for those is $175. Fee packages are available for therapists seeking individual or group case consultation.
Forms of Payment Payments may be made with cash, check, Mastercard, Visa, most health savings cards, or with prior agreement, PayPal or Venmo. Payment is due at the beginning of each session.
Insurance? I am “out of network” for most insurance plans. In some cases, insurance companies will reimburse most of my fee, even though I am not a plan provider. In that event, I can provide you with the right paperwork to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. I also accept Victims of Crime Compensation from the State of California, or VOCA, for people seeking EMDR therapy who are recovering from traumatic loss experiences.
Questions? I welcome any questions you have about my other office policies by text, phone call, or email.
